In preparation for the theatrical release of Puffin Rock and The New Friends, Cartoon Saloon Brand Development recently inked several new deals with licensing partners to manufacture stationery products, plush, graphic novels, pin sets, and more inspired by its roster of kids’ entertainment. As a division of the five-time Academy Award-winning Irish animation studio, Cartoon Saloon, the brand development team plans to offer licensed products from titles such as Puffin Rock, The Irish Folklore Trilogy, and My Father’s Dragon.

At this year’s Licensing Expo, the studio is set to showcase its new brand, Silly Sundays, to potential partners in toys, publishing, apparel, and accessories.

Cartoon Saloon will offer sustainable products for consumers by partnering with eco-design manufacturer GreenRe for a line of stationery products to be distributed across North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Canadian children’s boutique Snuggly Fig will create a clothing line made from bamboo for Cartoon Saloon’s North American audience, while Value Add Games will bring an educational board game to Europe.

“As we head into Licensing Expo, we’re excited to have such high-quality partners on board across our brands, and we look forward to sharing further information there on our evergreen properties with our current and potential partners,” says Brian Tyrrell, General Manager of Cartoon Saloon Brand Development.
