Cosmos-Maya, an animation studio based in India and Singapore, appointed Priti Karandikar as its new senior vice president, new business. Karandikar’s immediate focus for growth will be in licensing and merchandising, EdTech content creation, and new digital media.
Karandikar has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience and has held previous senior positions at The Walt Disney Company and Viacom 18. At Disney, she worked on brand-building efforts in India for close to a decade. At Viacom 18, her role as a sales director included managing five key categories for the entire kids’ portfolio across India and servicing brands including Colgate, Kellogg’s, Perfetti, and ITC for Viacom 18’s promotional licensing portfolio.

Cosmos-Maya has grown from being a standalone animation production studio to becoming a creator of fully-owned domestic and globally co-produced IP. The appointment is in line with the company’s expansion plans and its focus on increasing the reach for both its owned and acquired brands.
