Digital Domain, DreamWorks Animation Partner to Bring Iconic Characters to Virtual Reality

Digital Domain Holdings Ltd., parent company of Visual Effects house Digital Domain, has struck a deal with DreamWorks Animation to produce virtual reality content and experiences for characters, including Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

As part of its global strategy for the U.S., China, and beyond, Digital Domain also recently purchased Immersive Media Ventures, specializing in 360-degree video capture and streaming, and the partner in the IM360 joint venture, as well as the Hong Kong production facility, PO.
