The maker of Pop! Vinyl figures and Loungefly accessories is making another move into airport retail.

Funko, in partnership with Simply Toys, has opened a pop-up store at Singapore’s Changi Airport (CAG). The travel shop features an assortment of Funko products, including Pop! Vinyl and Soda Figures alongside Loungefly backpacks, purses, and other licensed collectibles and accessories.

“We are delighted and excited to be working on this special project with CAG through our long-term Singapore distribution partner Simply Toys,” says Andy Clempson, Senior Regional Director Asia: Funko Far East. “Changi Airport is an iconic, world-renowned gateway to Asia, and this collaboration allows us to present our Funko brands to new consumers whilst allowing our existing international Funko fans to really ‘“’follow their fun’ in a truly immersive experience.”

The Funko pop-up shop is located in Terminal 2, Level 3 (public area), and will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through February 29, 2024. Like its full-range counterparts in Hollywood and Everett, Washington, the Funko pop-up store features photo ops with a variety of characters and themed backdrops.

Funko previously opened a store at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) in partnership with Marshall Retail Group.

Simply Toys is also operating a limited-time pop-up store of its own at Changi Airport Terminal 3 through the end of October. The retailer plans to offer fall convention exclusives at its airport location later this month.

The travel retail space continues to be eyed by the toy industry following the opening of FAO Schwarz Airport stores in several U.S. airports and the recent news that WHP Global’s Toys “R” Us will open its first travel store at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport this fall as part of a multi-pronged expansion plan.
