New toys are launching just in time for the new year, thanks to Hasbro‘s new collections with the Transformers and NERF product lines.

Debuting in the NERF lineup is the NERF Shadowspeed Knight Sword, where kids and kids at heart can both channel their inner blade-slinging sword master with the softness and security of a foam blade and hilt. The carved details on the blade add an elevated, regal touch to the sword, enhancing the immersion in imaginative play. The sword is ideal for roleplaying both indoors and outdoors, and will be available at Walmart and other major retailers.

Two new items in NERF’s Super Soaker line are the NERF Super Soaker Stomp & Soak and Super Soaker Hop & Chomp water toys, which are available in time for the warmer months. The Super Soaker Stomp & Soak features a jellyfish that, once launched in the air with the launch pad, sprays streams of water from the top of its bell. Its tentacles also send water flying for more splashing fun, making it a solid option for cooling off outside. Just connect the launch pad to a working hose and let the Super Soaker Stomp and Soak do the rest.

The Super Soaker Hop & Chomp features a shark that sprays two jets of water from its jaws and chomps to randomize the bursts. To add even more to the action, there’s a switch that allows the streams to rotate, adjusting the direction of the water. Kids can run through the streams or try to jump around to avoid getting splashed, keeping them active while also cooling down on a warm day. Both the Super Soaker Stomp & Soak and the Super Soaker Hop & Chomp will be available at Amazon, Walmart, and other major retailers.

Hasbro is adding more to the Transformers roster with two new lines: the Transformers Smash Changers and Transformers Prime Changers, as well as new additions to the Transformers Swapticons line. The Swapticons are a line of mini action figures that can swap parts to change their forms. Twist the parts of and swap them with other figures in the line to create unique combinations. The line features the Blackarachnia and Predacon Tarantula set, as well as the Terrorsaur and Lazorbeak set, as well as a 5-pack Dino Mission set. Each set will be sold separately and exclusively at Walmart.

The Transformers Smash Changers line encourages kids to change their bot from beast to robot form by smashing it on a flat surface, then rebuilding it in just a few steps. The Prime Changers line encourages rebuilding, minus the smashing, and adds additional accessories for more posing and imaginative play opportunities. These two lines feature fan-favorites like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, and will soon be available at participating retailers.
