Hasbro is giving Play-Doh a weekly appointment on YouTube, but the idea is to get kids off the screen and into the compound.
The Toy Book can exclusively reveal Play-Doh with Margo, a new original preschool series launching Oct. 30 on the official Play-Doh YouTube channel. Hasbro has 42 episodes planned, with new installments rolling out weekly in English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish.
Hosted by Margo, the series starts each episode with a simple “What if…?” prompt — think pumpkins dressing up, fire-breathing dragons that don’t actually breathe fire, or vegetables with superpowers — and turns it into a Play-Doh creation kids can make alongside the show.
“For generations, the Play-Doh brand has given children the freedom to imagine, experiment, and bring their ideas to life,” says Kim Boyd, President of Licensing and Entertainment at Hasbro. “Play-Doh with Margo brings that creative spirit to entertainment, giving preschoolers a playful place to start and inviting them to get hands-on, make each creation their own, and see where their imaginations take them.”

Episodes use recurring segments to move from idea to finished creation. “The Unsquish” reveals what Margo will make, “Imaginoodle” gets the sculpting started, and “Switch-Up” adds ways for kids to put their own spin on the project. The “Can-Can Shuffle” can lead to a “Mission Make,” “Silly Song,” or real-world “Exploration,” before the finished creation stars in an animated short.
It’s a familiar preschool content formula with a Play-Doh twist: watching is only half the activity.
