Kellytoy — a subsidiary of Jazwares — sent a special Squishmallows Squad to the students of Silverado High School in Mission Viejo, California.
More than 100 of the loveable plush Squishmallows arrived at Silverado in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District in support of the school’s PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) program. Since 2019, the PBIS program has provided “Eagle Bills” to students who demonstrate positive behavior. As part of the new partnership — which will formally launch this fall — students can redeem their Eagle Bills for Squishmallows and other rewards at the PBIS student store.
“We’re delighted to be able to help the Silverado students by donating members of various Squishmallows squads to the school,” says Kellytoy Co-President Jonathan Kelly. “Members of the online Squishmallows community regularly mention how helpful the ‘mallows can be for emotional support, sensory issues or those who are stressed or suffering from anxiety.”
According to Silverado High School Assistant Principal Cindy Garamoni, the Squishmallows have been placed in classrooms around the school.

“Our students absolutely love Squishmallows. Plus, our teachers utilize the huggable plush toys for social-emotional support,” Garamoni says. “They have brought tremendous joy to our students.”
The Squishmallows brand continues to grow with more than 73 million plush characters sold since their debut. Most recently, Kellytoy and Jazwares extended the brand into the realm of miniature collectibles with the debut of Squishville.
