Licensing Expo is known as one of the foremost global events centered around intellectual property (IP), networking opportunities, brand extension, and more. Last year’s show saw a marked increase in attendance, with both attendees and retailers flocking to the event.

Running from May 21-23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, the 2024 Licensing Expo is aiming to see similar success. The show is offering a sneak peek into plans, including closing day events highlighting the future of the industry.

We have invested resources to comprehensively research how we can continue to evolve and offer even more value to our Licensing Expo community and the resounding theme that emerged was the importance on the power of connection and the future of the industry.
— Anna Clarke, Senior Vice President of Global Licensing Group

Licensing Expo’s final day will open with artificial intelligence (AI) futurist Zack Kass, former Head of Go-to-Market for OpenAI. Kass will speak on artificial intelligence and its speedy development, providing insight for organizations hoping to keep up with technology. Following Kass’ keynote, a panel will discuss “Building Teams” as well as “How Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Needs to Start at Recruitment.”

Licensing Expo will also be partnering for the first time with Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) for WiT Empowerment Day. The event will invite women inventors, creators, and entrepreneurs to present their ideas to companies and buyers exclusively from Walmart. WiT will also be hosting a WiT Empowerment Day Pitch Prep Program ahead of the event to prepare participants for their pitches.

A panel of Chief Marketing Officers will round out the day discussing forward-facing brands and engagement with consumers.

Beyond final day reveals, the Global Licensing Group (Licensing Expo’s official producer) has also previewed plans for offerings before the show. May 19 will have Licensing International hosting its annual networking fundraiser, and the organization’s Global Excellence Awards will take place on the evening of May 20. Opening Night Party will additionally be returning to Licensing Expo this year on May 21.

More information and registration for Licensing Expo are available on the official website.
