Licensing Expo has selected Banca Pictures, Comedy Wildlife, King Features, Unicorn Jazz, and Zoonicorn to participate in its new Ignite Brand Pitches program, taking place on June 13 at 3:30 p.m. at the License Global Theater in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The program aims to highlight exhibitors’ newest intellectual properties (IP) and allows five brand owners the opportunity to pitch upcoming brands in front of a live audience at the event. 

Liliya Belaya, Co-founder/CEO/Executive Producer for the animation studio Blanca Pictures (Booth No. B135), will pitch GINJI, a 2D animated series aimed to teach children values such as friendship, respect for others and the environment, tolerance, purposefulness, teamwork, and honesty.

Tom Sullam, Director, Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, will pitch Comedy Wildlife (Booth No. G87), a photography competition licensing funny and heartwarming images of wildlife to raise awareness and start conversations around animal welfare.

Ilkka Lind, Sales Director, Rights & Brands in association with King Features (Booth No. Q259), will pitch Moomin, central characters in a series of novels, short stories, and a comic strip by Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, featuring the core qualities of love, equality, and courage. Moomin has been the basis for numerous television series, films, and even theme parks.

Latina author Lisa Caprelli, Unicorn Jazz (Booth No. A199), will present a pitch for the company and children’s “edutainment” brand. With a mission to inspire young minds from birth to age 12, Unicorn Jazz focuses on love, kindness, confidence, and uniqueness. Attendees can learn more about the InspireEd Program, which connects with elementary schools through author visits, a TV Show, and puppetry.

J’net Smith, Executive Producer and Director, Zoonicorn (Booth No. D204), will pitch Zoonicorn, a preschool entertainment property with a focus on optimism and resilience.
