Luminopia continues to pave the way for amblyopia treatment through a licensing agreement with Spin Master. This partnership expands Luminopia’s growing roster by including the company’s beloved kids’ series.

Amblyopia, commonly known as lazy eye, affects approximately a million pediatric patients nationwide. To address the leading cause of vision loss in kids, Luminopia provides a modern alternative using a VR headset. Instead of standard care, which requires an eye patch over the patient’s stronger eye, this FDA-cleared therapy has kids watch television for an hour a day, six days a week, through the headset, encouraging the brain to use both eyes.

Through this partnership, pediatric patients who use Luminopia can now enjoy their favorite TV series from Spin Master. This includes PAW PatrolUnicorn AcademyVida the Vet, and Bakugan. Each series will provide age-appropriate content for kids to watch during therapy.

“This partnership enhances our growing content library with programming children know and love,” says Scott Xiao, Founder and CEO of Luminopia. “Access to familiar, age-appropriate entertainment can play an important role in helping families stay engaged during treatment. Spin Master’s loved characters and stories are a natural fit for our patient population.”

Spin Master joins Luminopia’s expanding roster of entertainment partners. Current partners include Sesame Street, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, NBCUniversal, DreamWorks, Sony Pictures, and more.

“At Spin Master, we’re committed to creating meaningful entertainment experiences that resonate with children and families worldwide,” says Caroline Tyre, Vice President, Global Content Distribution, Spin Master. “Working with Luminopia, we’re supporting children in a meaningful new way, helping to make treatment experiences more engaging for families.”
