PlayMonster is expanding its Latchkits DIY crafting brand.

Latchkits Yarnimals are geared toward teaching kids 8 and up how to make their own 3D plush creations. Each set — Panda, Koala, and Penguin — comes with an animal form, premium yarn, a looping tool, snap-in eyes, an instruction guide, and a bonus heart charm.

“As children are introduced to the world of arts and crafts, it’s important to keep activities and learning opportunities rewarding,” says PlayMonster’s Director of Activity Toys Wendy Hartling. “One of our goals with Latchkits Yarnimals was to create a simple yet engaging product that was accessible for young children to try, and feel accomplished after seeing their very own plush come together.”

Yarnimals require no sewing or measuring as kids simply follow the raised guides on the 3D mesh form to know where to place each yarn color. The new collection is hitting retail now.
