The U.S. toy industry is rolling the dice and placing bets for some big wins in Las Vegas this year.

Licensing Expo — the world’s largest licensing trade show — will return to the Las Vegas Strip from May 24-26, 2022 when Informa Markets and Licensing International open the doors and reunite the licensing community at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center (MBCC) following a two-year, pandemic-fueled hiatus.

Organizers tell the Toy Book that more than 170 exhibitors are already booked for the show and that the growing list spans all major categories. The toy industry is well represented with top companies, including ADK Emotions NY (Beyblade), Crayola, Funko, Hasbro, Jazwares, LEGO, Mattel, MGA Entertainment, NECA, The Pokémon Co. International, Spin Master, WHP Global (Toys “R” Us), and many others having already secured booth space.

In the past month, more than 40 new companies have joined the lineup which spans toys, sports, gaming, entertainment, corporate brands, artists, and more.

“Licensing Expo returns in-person for the first time since 2019, and excitement among the industry is palpable,” says Anna Knight, senior vice president of licensing, Informa Markets. “This is a business-critical time in the calendar for brands, manufacturers, and retailers alike – they’re coming with a pen in hand ready to ink new deals and discover the new trends that will line their shelves in the coming years, but also to reconnect in-person possibly for the first time since the pandemic.”
