The gaming landscape is getting busier, with Nintendo rolling out new experiences across Switch 2 and beyond while Nex Playground brings Dude Perfect-inspired action into the living room.
Nintendo Brings Viking Adventures, Cat-Fueled Chaos, and More to Switch 2
New adventures are coming Nintendo Switch 2, from the Viking survival world of Valheim to the cat-powered tactical chaos of Mewgenics.
Nintendo is also celebrating National Video Games Day with a spotlight on games including Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Orbitals, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, and the Xenoblade Chronicles series, while Mario Kart World gets a free update with new courses, Knockout Tour routes, Spectator Mode, and Photo Mode filters.
Looking ahead, upcoming releases include LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Final Fantasy Resonance, and Woodo, while Nintendo Switch Online members can also take EA Sports Madden NFL 27 for a spin at no additional cost during a limited-time Game Trial.
Nintendo offers first looks at Metroid Ravenous, a new 2D Samus Aran adventure launching next year, and Kirby and the World Beyond, a 3D Kirby adventure coming in Spring 2027. A presentation also revealed Monster Hunter Wilds, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Persona 6, Persona 4 Revival, Mega Man: Dual Override, and enhanced editions of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Pikmin 4.
Additional announcements included Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, Bluey’s Happy Snaps, It Takes Two, and more, giving gamers a packed slate of releases through 2027.
The Paper Mario soundtrack is now available on Nintendo Music alongside a special release of the title theme from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Nex Playground Brings Dude Perfect Into the Living Room
Nex Playground has launched Dude Perfect Trickshot Challenge, a motion-controlled game that lets kids and families recreate Dude Perfect-inspired trick shots using full-body movement instead of controllers.
Kids can take on challenges involving basketballs, ping-pong balls, golf balls, and more. Modes include Triple Baskets, No Parking, Impossible Golf, and RC Pong. Quests, collectibles, and customization options add progression to the gameplay, which is designed to ramp from easy-to-learn mechanics to more difficult precision challenges.
Available exclusively through Nex Playground’s Play Pass subscription, the launch follows Nex’s Summer 2026 collaboration with Dude Perfect and comes as the active-play platform expands internationally.
‘Hot Wheels Infinite Rush’ Hits Consoles and PC
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC. Developed by Milestone and Mattel, the racing game lets players explore four interconnected islands, race, collect more than 150 vehicles, customize rides, build tracks, and compete in multiplayer modes, including cross-play and four-player split-screen.
