Mik Believe Entertainment, the media company founded and led by kids’ television legend Miklos Perlus, is currently developing an animated adaptation of the award-winning comic Squish and Squash, originally published by Keenspot Entertainment.
Created in collaboration with TVOkids, Squish and Squash Save the Universe follows the two cartoon cadets as they explore the galaxy, take down eco-villains, and save the solar system from environmental disasters, teaching preschoolers about science and sustainability along the way. The first season will roll out in 2027 and feature 39 seven-minute episodes.

Mik Believe Entertainment will unveil the series and its latest development materials — including a full series bible, scripts, designs, and a preliminary production budget and schedule — at the Kidscreen Summit in San Diego, Feb. 22-25, in the hopes of finding new partners, broadcasters, and distributors to complete financing and move the project into production.
“Kidscreen is the right place to bring together the creative, financial, and international partners this show needs,” said Perlus. “Squish and Squash is built to entertain first while also giving kids a fun, accessible way to engage with environmental science and big ideas about responsibility, teamwork, and most importantly, resilience.”
