Mattel is going back to basics: with Montessori learning toys flooding the market, the company partners with the American Montessori Society (AMS) to bring a new line of wooden Montessori products to its Fisher-Price brand.

The collection features seven new toys and games, each reflecting the timeless Montessori philosophies and style. Intended for kids ages 1 and up, these hands-on learning toys encourage kids to explore at their own pace, fostering independence, confidence, and developmental skills they will use for a lifetime. The entire collection is available now, exclusively on Amazon.

This collection has earned Fisher-Price the AMS Montessori Seal of Excellence. As the first brand to receive the endorsement, this award highlights Fisher-Price’s ongoing commitment to creating quality, purposeful products that encourage kids’ early education. Each toy also includes a tip card with guidance from the development experts at Fisher-Price Play Lab.

The series features puzzles that prep preschoolers for the classroom, such as the 1-2-3 Puzzle, Triangle Puzzle, and Stacking Shapes set. The Dressing Busy Board helps little ones strengthen their fine motor skills with nine familiar clothing fasteners for kids to button, buckle, and lace. To balance learning with active play, kids can take the Rockin’ Balance Board out for a spin and challenge their coordination while getting their wiggles out.

Infants can get a head start on their education with the Sort & Find Object Permanence Box. This toy puts a new spin on shape-sorting boxes by adding a sliding side door, so toddlers can see the shape still exists — even if it’s out of sight! Kids ages 3 and up can keep growing their cognitive skills with the Wooden Sorting Tree, in which kids pluck, match, and sort colorful apples using kid-sized tongs. Kids can experience these toys as games or navigate them on their own and let their curiosity flourish.

“‘Montessori’ is more than a buzzword, which is why we partnered with the American Montessori Society. Quality and authenticity is everything to Fisher-Price. So, aligning our designs to real Montessori principles was critical,” said Brian Fitzharris, SVP and Global Head of Fisher-Price. “With this collection, we’re proud to give parents peace of mind, toys that are responsibly crafted, developmentally rich, and backed by true Montessori experts. Being the first company to receive the AMS Montessori Seal of Excellence is a tremendous honor and reflects Fisher-Price’s commitment to early childhood development.”

The entire Fisher-Price Montessori collection is available now, exclusively on Amazon.
