It’s Saturday night and Hasbro just dropped news on a collaboration with Epic Games that brings an iconic ninja commando to Fortnite as the latest Hunter to pass through the Zero Point.
Fortnite x G.I. Joe kicks off with the addition of Snake Eyes to Fortnite‘s battle royale. The Arashikage Clan set is available in the Fortnite Item Shop for a limited time and features all the tools that players will need to drop from the Battle Bus as a member of the ‘Joe crew. The set includes the Snake Eyes Outfit complete with a Katana Pickaxe and Back Bling.
Hasbro Pulse also dropped the curtain on the Fortnite x G.I. Joe Collaborative Snake Eyes: Zero Point Edition action figure.
The 6-inch figure extends the G.I. Joe Classified Series lineup with a game-inspired design that marks the first time ever that a Snake Eyes action figure has been released with the G.I. Joe logo on its shoulders. Snake Eyes features more than 20 points of articulation and comes with Fortnite-inspired weapon accessories, including the Harpoon Launcher, Boogie Bomb, Grenade, Clinger, Chiller Grenade, and the Submachine weapon and Mythic Shockwave Launcher accessories featuring the Weathered Black Wrap deco as seen in the game.
Snake Eyes also includes an additional hand along with traditional accessories including his Morning Light katana and sheath accessories inspired by the G.I. Joe universe. The figure is available for preorder now with expected delivery in Jan. 2022.
The Fortnite collaboration is just the first piece of major G.I. Joe news to arrive this year as Hasbro ramps-up its new toy and partnership reveals in the months leading up to the release of the feature film, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins which is slated for release on Oct. 21.
To paraphrase Elton John, Saturday night’s alright for fighting, so fire up the Xbox or the Playstation and get a little action in with Snake Eyes on Fortnite!
