The event, which was held at Mumbai’s PVR Jio World Drive, featured dolls wearing fashion inspired by Barbie’s looks in the movie, such as the Pink Gingham Dress doll, the Gold Disco Jumpsuit doll, and the Pink Western Outfit doll.
Many of those who attended are notable faces in the fashion and entertainment industries, including Kishwer M. Rai, Suyyash Rai, Mandira Bedi, Sara Arfeen Khan, Simone Khambatta, Vinny Arora Dhoopar, Ritu Chaudhry Seth, Rakshanda Khan, Nisha Rawal, Sakshi Bajaj, and Ashita Dhawan.
The event included hair braiding, glitter tattoos, and pink decorations.
Hamleys and Mattel had been hosting Barbie-themed tea parties around the country in cities including Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Bangalore, and Chennai surrounding the release of the highly-anticipated movie.
