Disney Princess Style Series Ariel

At Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), Hasbro showed off the first dolls from its new Disney Princess Style Series. The new collection of dolls presents high fashion takes on classic Disney Princesses, launching with a trio of dolls on Aug. 1.

Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Mulan (Mulan), and Belle (Beauty and the Beast) are designed as if they’d jumped from the classic cinematic tales of Walt Disney Animation studio and into the real life modern world. Geared toward kids and collectors ages 6 and up, the dolls feature deluxe rooted eyelashes, rooted hair, elegant facial features, and completely new fashions that are red carpet ready.

Taking cues from the source material, Ariel’s dress features an under-the-sea theme in sea foam green and purple. The mermaid silhouette dress has sea shell details and a star fish overlay, complemented by a sea shell purse. Belle’s tea-length dress carries rose accents, further reflected in the accompanying rose clutch. Mulan’s dress takes a floral theme, with a color palette of raspberry red lavender, pink, and gold with navy blue accents alongside a fan-inspired purse.

The dolls will be sold separately at most major retailers.
