Nominations are now open for the 17th Annual Wonder Women Awards. In the yearly event, Women in Toys, Licensing, and Entertainment (WIT) honors top female executives, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and others who have extraordinary accomplishments in the toy, licensing, and entertainment industries.

Categories include Designer, Licensor, COVID-19 Hero, and Rising Star, which our very own Maddie Michalik won at the last event. Anyone may nominate someone they believe is making strides in these categories and more. Nominations will be accepted until April 30. Submission fees are $75 per submission through the end of February and $100 from then until April. All submissions are reviewed by the Wonder Women Committee and WIT staff to ensure eligibility.

Finalists will be chosen by the WIT Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Chapter Chairs. The entire WIT community can vote for the winners of each category. Winners will be revealed at the Wonder Women Awards this September in Los Angeles.

As a kid, Nicole either wanted to be a professional toy player-wither or a writer. Somehow, as social media editor for The Toy Insider, The Toy Book, and The Pop Insider, she’s found a career as both. She's grateful to work somewhere that she can fully embrace both her love of teddy bears and her admiration for the Oxford comma. When she's not playing with toys at work, she's playing with her baby girl at home.
