The virtual, week-long Spielwarenmesse Digital that served as a stand-in for the annual Nuremberg International Toy Fair proved popular within the industry. Spanning the original dates of the fair, the online platform provided exhibitors and trade visitors an alternative way to discover trends and engage in conversation about all things toys.
Over five days, Spielwarenmesse eG recorded 10,813 visitors from 82 different countries. The program of presentations was accessed 22,000 times.
Networking is traditionally a key factor of the toy fair, and while the event certainly looked different, participants this year were able to forge new relationships using the platform’s digital portal. Younger, startup companies and established brands alike were able to communicate with potential buyers and present their products.
Additionally, Spielwarenmesse Digital maintained the tradition of guest speakers with the creation of Spielwarenmesse TV. This program played host to industry experts on the “red couch” to chat with about different trends, products, and more.
Interested visitors still have the opportunity until March 6 to buy a ticket for the platform on digital.spielwarenmesse.de. All of the presentations will remain available on-demand until the end of August.
